SWAP MEET - Back by popular demand
Do you, like many of us, have things that you haven't used in ages, but that seem "too good" to put in a Goodwill bag? Think fish poacher, cookie cutters, costume jewelry, picture frame, placemats, yoga mat, board game, etc.
Our swap meet will be a fun social event where everybody brings a few things that deserve a new owner and everybody has a chance to go home with something “new.” No money will be exchanged.
“Rules”:
1. Registration (by November 16) is necessary, as space will be limited.
2. Drop off your items prior to November 17. Please call Claire at 301-442-8047 to schedule or if you need help with delivery.
3. All participants should bring at least 2 -- and not more than 5 – items.
4. Items of (almost) all types are fine, but they must be small enough and light enough for you, and the potential recipient, to carry. Please do not bring clothes, shoes, or books.
5. Items must be in excellent, “like-new” condition.
6. Everyone will have the chance to claim several items. The fun starts when more than one person wants the same item!
7. Do not bring anything that you want to keep! At the end of our event, any unclaimed items will be donated.
The idea is that your kitchen gadget, earrings you haven't worn in a decade, or whatever will go home with a Village friend who is actually happy to have it (or who might know somebody for whom it would make a nice gift).
Register by November 16 via the Village website calendar, by emailing programs@silverspringvillage.org, or by phoning the Village at 240-833-5584.
