About this event
The Frederick Douglass National Historic Site, administered by the National Park Service, is located at 1411 W Street, SE, in Anacostia, a neighborhood east of the Anacostia River in Southeast Washington, D.C. United States.
There is a $1.50 registration fee per person for a guided group tour of 10 or more so please email me if you are interested in going and I’ll make a reservation.
Parking is free and it is wheelchair accessible in some parts however house is on a hill with 85 steps.
Gift shop on site.
Busboys and Poets only a few blocks away for brunch or snacks. And Kitchen Savages close by too.
The group tour’s timings are 12:15 or 1:15 or 3:00 pm
My preference is 12:15 as the tour is 30 minutes and then lunch.

Rules
- Visitors must pick up tickets at the visitor center before the tour time.
- Visitors cannot join a tour after it has entered the historic house.
- Strollers, tote bags, backpacks, and other large bags are not allowed in the historic house.
- Eating, drinking, chewing gum, and smoking are not allowed in the historic house.
- Photography is permitted, but the flash must be off to protect light-sensitive objects.
