We will be biking the C&O Canal from Swains Lock 21 up to Seneca Creek Aqueduct.

The ride is roughly 12 miles round trip and is expected to take 1½ hour to bike. We’ll meet up at 

10AM in the Swains Lock Hiker/Biker Campground parking area (1079 Swains Lock Road, Potomac). It’s about a 40-minute drive from downtown Silver Spring so please plan accordingly. As always, if you need help getting your bike to the starting point, let us know. We'll see what we can do.

Directions to Meet-up Point at Swains Lock Hiker/Biker Campground: Take the beltway going west towards Bethesda. Take Exit #39 to River Road. Go west on River Road, about five miles to Swain's Lock Rd. Turn left. Take Swain's Lock Road to the end, about a third of a mile. See signs for parking. (Given the possibility of late rush hour traffic, be sure to check Google Maps to see if there is a shorter route before you head out.)
