American mahjongg has become very popular.The Village mahjongg group meets weekly for games.  Experienced players are welcome.

We have received inquiries from several members about forming a beginner game.To facilitate this, the Village mahjongg group is offering an introduction to American mahjongg, free to Village members. Because the game is multifaceted, we think that three sessions would offer a good introduction. 

This introduction would consist of three consecutive weeks explaining the tiles, card and strategy and hands on play.After that, if there is interest in forming a Village beginner mahjongg group, that group would decide on a schedule to play.The experienced players could assist in the games as needed.

The introduction sessions will be held on May 7, 14, and 21 from 1–3 pm at a member’s home in Woodside.

All three sessions are recommended.
